The Hunt

We believe in hunting the traditional way – on foot.  The use of safari vehicles is limited due to the lack of roads in the wild parts of the country.  Expect to do some traveling by vehicle, but to spend most of the hunting time on foot.  The terrain varies from the swamps in the Zambezi river delta to the mountains in northern Mozambique.

Buffalo is mainly hunted in the wetlands of the Zambezi river delta.  Expect to stalk the buffalo through tall grass, mud or even shallow water.  This is the greatest way to hunt the Cape Buffalo!

You can combine Hippo and Crocodile with your Buffalo hunt, should you wish to.

Elephant is available in several areas, but quotas are limited.

Lion and Leopard quotas are small in all areas.

Before committing to a hunting area we prefer to confirm the presence of the big cats before finalising the booking.

We use bait for both Lion and Leopard.  Leopard is hunted from a blind, but with Lion there are more options and hunting tactics will change depending on the situation.
